Columbus Day Parade

The following pictures were taken behind the scenes of the Tuskegee/Morehouse Parade in Phenix City, Alabama.  I attended the event to take pictures of my goddaughter when the young lady, in the first picture below, captured my attention by asking me to take a picture of her.  My first reaction was to pull my camera from my backpack, but she intended for me to take the picture with her phone camera.  She didn't know that I was not good at taking pictures with a phone camera, but she soon realized that following several of my failed attempts to press one simple button. (laughing) After several attempts at taking her picture with the phone camera, I suggested that I take a picture with my camera and the snapping didn't stop until all participants (in the ready area) joined the parade.  After taking all the shots from behind the scenes, I finally found my goddaughter (the Queen of Mother Mary School in Phenix City, Alabama).  I had a wonderful time!  I look forward to the next parade.  I will begin posting pictures as I get permission from the parties involved.
